ABOUT THE AUTHOR I.M. Singh

Dr. Irengbam Mohendra Singh was born in Imphal, the capital of Manipur State in teh North East Region of India. Educated at Imphal, Darjeeling, Nainital and Mumbai, he qualified as a doctor from Agra in India. After training in leading hospitals in Delhi, he came to England for Post-graduate studies in Medicine. In England, he met and married his wife Margaret. They have two children: Anita who is a journalist and Neil who is a legal editor for a publishing company. Dr. singh worked as a physician until his recent retirement. Well-travelled, Dr. Singh's enquiring mind led him to extensive reading in science, religion and philosophy; and in this process he aequired a personal library of over 2,500 books.
